Identity Crisis
Jan. 3rd, 2010 09:54 pmSo in an effort to make a New Years Resolution that I might actually keep, I've decided to try to post more. More than once a month. Ideally more than once a week. In my dreams of wild abandon, at least three times a week.
As an added level of difficulty, I'm trying to maintain a craft blog separate from my regular blog. The reason why: just because I believe that crafts and slash are two great tastes that go great together doesn't mean that everyone agrees. Other than a few crafty slashers, the random knitter who stumbles upon this blog (DW or LJ version) might be horribly confused or horribly embarrassed. So I feel some responsibility to maintain a slashmuggle-safe version for that blog content.
I started a separate craft blog on Vox a few years ago, when I decided that I'd like to comment on other people's knitblogs. From Vox I went (back) to Blogger when I got tired of only Vox people being able to comment. I decided late on New Year's Day that I have a burning hatred of Blogger's posting interface, and if I was ever going to post again, I'd better move the craft blog somewhere else.
Here, to be precise.
Unfortunately, now my Sheppard-computer keeps insisting that I want to post to this blog and not the new one. I'm hoping that once it gets the login passwords straight, this will get a little easier. Right now the plan is to post a couple times a week to the craft blog (when I get something worth blogging about done) and post to this account on Monday-Wednesday-Friday. If my muses ever quit pouting in the closet, maybe I'll have Sunday Snippets to post again. Perhaps if they get truly inspired, there may even be Slash for Sundays again.
Hey, it's a whole new year. Anything could happen.
